By breath and fire the glass artists create precious and unique pieces. Neither machine nor tools can replace until today the skill of human hand and the great experience of our glassmakers. Manu Factum – "made by hand" – is synonym of the products of the Krystallglasmanufaktur Ludwigsthal. Today the great experience and knowledge, gained over generations, of the traditional glass craftsmanship is still available. In Nymphenburg and Meissen artisans' skills in working porcelain, are equal to the glassmakers' in Ludwigsthal.

The crown with L is the trade mark of Ludwigsthal and it is marked in by the engravers in the last processing stage. Every day the furnace in the glass plant is heated up to 1.400 degrees Celsius. At this temperature, the raw materials are thrown in. They melt overnight into glass. At due time the glassworkers us thin metal tubes to take out of the oven just as much glass as they need for the piece to blow.

The mould stock contains only hand-made units. These are manufactured in the Krystallglasmanufaktur Ludwigsthal and must be kept under water before use. The precision of each accurate step to create a glass piece is fascinating.
